This project forms part of a PhD thesis 'Analysing and supporting decisions in health: comparison and evaluation of alternative analytical decision models'. The LS data is being used to populate a mathematical model used to simulate decisions in health which will focus on aggregated UK data on deaths by social class for seven health conditions. These are ischeamic heart disease, acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, conduction disorders, stroke, malignant neoplasms of bronchus and lung and malignant neoplasms of lung.
