(Project no. 2000492)

This research project is part of the Institute for Fiscal Studies’ Deaton Review of Inequality (https://www.ifs.org.uk/inequality/). We propose several linked pieces of research to understand a few of the many dimensions of inequality. In particular, this research project covers the following chapters of the review:

Chapter 1: Inequalities in family structures

Chapter 2: Inequalities by race and ethnicity

Chapter 3: Inequalities in health

Chepter 4: Geographical and Spatial Inequalities

Chapter 5: Trends in economic inequalities

Inequality is a central topic of public debate, and by providing evidence on these forms of inequality we will expand the knowledge base for the public good.
