Internal migration and mortality in the United Kingdom

Processes of selection in internal migration are thought important factors behind persistent regional inequalities in life expectancy in the UK. This study will combine data from the UK Longitudinal Studies (2001 and 2011) with linked birth and death registers to provide a comprehensive and timely analysis of the role of migration in individual and place variations in mortality rates.
