Apprenticeships and professional development
Apprenticeship opportunities at UCL:
UCL staff
A mid-career apprenticeship allows you to combine your work at UCL with funded part-time study to earn a nationally recognised qualification. Read more about our mid-career apprenticeships.
External applicants
An early-career apprenticeship is a great first step into a career at UCL. Read more about our early-career apprenticeships.
Graduate degree apprenticeships
Degree apprenticeships are a unique type of programme that combines full-time paid work with part-time study. Apprentices split their time between university study and the workplace and gain a Master’s level qualification whilst getting on-the-job experience in their chosen profession. Please, contact degreeapprenticeships@ucl.ac.uk for more information. Read more about graduate degree apprenticeships.
Hiring an apprentice
We would also like to hear from line managers who are interested in recruiting early career apprentices or want to offer professional development to their team. Hiring an apprentice is a productive way to add, develop and mentor budding talent. Read more information for UCL line managers
Apprenticeship Levy transfer
UCL’s levy transfer supports small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to train apprentices employed by them by offering to cover the cost of their apprenticeship training fees. Read more about Levy transfer.
Our apprenticeships
There are over 600 different apprenticeship standards registered with the Skills England.
