Apprenticeships that provide an opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills to advance your career as an Early Years Educator at our UCL Day Nursery. Applications are open for 2 positions.
What is it?
The UCL Day Nursery offers high quality childcare and nursery education for the children of UCL students and staff.
We have a number of apprenticeship vacancies for those with a level 2 qualification in Early Years or Social Care who wish to develop their experience and achieve a level 3 qualification.
You will work with the team to provide suitable activities and indoor and outdoor play opportunities so that the children develop their full potential and provide a safe and stimulating environment for all children.
This apprenticeship is delivered in partnership with Hawk Training, an Ofsted Outstanding training provider. Learning will be undertaken online and in person in the workplace.
Who is it for?
These programmes are suitable for School or College Leavers that have a keen interest in a career in Childcare.
As this is funded through the Apprenticeship Levy there are specific eligibility criteria that applicants should meet.
We expect all applicants to have a Level 2 Childcare or Health and Social Care qualification and English and Maths at Grade C/ Level 4 or above.
You will be fully supported throughout your apprenticeship by your line manager, a mentor, the nursery manager, the HR Apprenticeship team and a coach from our training provider.
We hope that this programme will prepare you for a long-term career within Childcare at UCL. You will be supported to make applications for permanent roles towards the end of your apprenticeship.
How do I apply?
We work closely with our partners at LB Camden to provide opportunities for local residents or school/ college leavers from Camden and will prioritise these applications.
All vacancies are advertised on our job website. Applications will be accepted through the Find an Apprenticeship website and are managed on our behalf by our training provider. Shortlisted applicants are invited to attend an in-person interview.
