Customer Service Early Career Apprenticeship

This Apprenticeship equips learners with the knowledge to deal with complex or demanding customer queries and requests.

What is it?

With 45,000 students, 14, 000 staff, and 250 buildings we are a complex and diverse organisation with the need to provide good service to internal and external customers. Customer Service Apprentices provide excellent customer service expertise across a range of areas within UCL. You are an advocate of Customer Service who acts as a referral point for dealing with complex or technical requests and queries.

We offer the Customer Service Specialist Level 3 Apprenticeship over 14 months which provides the grounding for a career in UCL professional services. During your apprenticeship, you will work on projects relevant to your role to develop your skills

Who is it for?

These programmes are suitable for School or College Leavers who are passionate about Customer Service and are looking for an opportunity to influence change and improvements in service delivery. This also may be suitable for career changers who wish to pursue a career in Higher Education Professional Services.

As this is funded through the Apprenticeship Levy there are specific eligibility criteria that applicants should meet.

We expect all applicants to have a minimum of GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/Level 4 or above.

You will be fully supported throughout your apprenticeship by your line manager, a mentor, the HR Apprenticeship team and a coach from our training provider. We hope that this programme will prepare you for a long-term career at UCL. You will be supported to make applications for permanent roles towards the end of your apprenticeship.

How do I apply?

We work closely with our partners at LB Camden to provide opportunities for local residents or school/ college leavers from Camden and will prioritise these applications.

All vacancies are advertised on our job website. Applications will be accepted through the Find an Apprenticeship website and are managed on our behalf by our training provider. Shortlisted applicants are invited to attend an in-person interview.
