Dyslexia Awareness Week 2021

4-10 October is Dyslexia Awareness Week, and UCL's Disability, Mental Health and Wellbeing team are celebrating! We're running events to support students with a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of a learning difference or difficulty, while introducing you to our services.

One-off advisory appointments

Thursday, 7 October from 11am to 1pm

This Dyslexia Awareness Week, we are holding one-off sessions for students who think they may have a learning difference or difficulty. Specific Learning Differences Coordinator and Study Skills Tutor, Tim Pearce, is offering same-day 1-1 advisory appointments on Thursday 7 October, where you can discuss any concerns you may have or ask any questions regarding learning differences and difficulties.

These same-day appointments are only bookable on the day of the event. You can book through askUCL or by calling 0207 679 0100 from 9am on Thursday 7 October. Make sure you ask for Tim. Appointments are limited and often booked up quickly.

Friday, 8 October from 12 to 12.45pm

We invite students identifying as neurodivergent or with a neurodivergence, to join us for an open session via Microsoft Teams. Join Louise Grimmett (Student Support and Wellbeing Manager, Disability and Specific Learning Differences) to chat about anything related to Disability and Specific Learning Differences and find out how you can get support.
