Students arriving in the UK in 2021
It's important that students are aware of the rules and regulations regarding international travel in 2021. With many students now planning to arrive in London from overseas, Student Support and Wellbeing has put together guidance to prepare for the new COVID-19 reality and if needed self-isolation.
Following communication sent out by UCL to all international students in early July the UK Government has changed its policy on ‘distance learning’ for Student Visa holders and therefore UCL will not be withdrawing sponsorship of Student Visas for those who do not arrive in the UK by 27th September 2021.
As it stands UCL expects students to arrive in the UK and enrol by 15th October 2021 unless you cannot arrive due to travel restrictions and your department permits you to distance learn for term 1. Further information on the UCL policy can be found at the following link:
To enter the UK, you will have to take a test up to 3 days before departure and provide a negative COVID-19 test.

Please note that England remains in a national lockdown. For full details of what this means, please visit the UK Government website.
