The purpose of MAPS Early Career Researchers(ECRs) Forum is to lead on the provision of support for the wellbeing, professional development and career progress of ECRs, including postgraduate research degree students, postdoctoral researchers and academics up to 6 years after PhD award, or anyone who considers themselves as an ECR.

Who we are and what we do
The MAPS ECR Forum currently consists of departmental ECR Leads, ECR Reps and PhD Reps, and is co-chaired by volunteers from the Forum. It is dedicated to the support for the wellbeing, professional development and career progress of all ECRs. Find out the goals, responsibilities and structure of the Forum and its current members.

The BEAMS RCO can help you to identify research-funding opportunities, develop strong research proposals, and develop grant-writing skills. You can also book one-to-one appointment for proposal review and mock interviews. See their Fellowships List. The Festival of Early Stage Researchers (FESR) across UCL

UCL holds an annual week-long festival, the Festival of Early Stage Researchers (FESR) to celebrate the invaluable contribution from UCL’s early-stage research community to research and innovation.
