Training

UCL Organisational Development is a dedicated team focused on providing UCL’s Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme for staff. The programme includes development in areas such as: leadership, finance, project management, resilience, communication skills, personal effectiveness; and a number of popular researcher specific courses, which include grant writing and networking skills.

This includes the Concordat Implementation Plan for supporting and sustaining researchers’ careers, details about the Researcher Development Framework the and links to Vitae – the International Researcher Professional and Career Development programme.

Equality & Diversity/Athena SWAN

FLS is committed to developing and maintaining a working environment where staff from all backgrounds can flourish. To achieve this, the FLS Equality and Diversity Committee has been established. It is chaired by the Dean and meets termly to monitor and discuss how to improve equality and diversity issues across the Faculty.

FLS is committed to supporting staff development, succession planning and empowering staff to share in leadership. Alongside key initiatives - such as the Future Leaders Programme – a key element of this process is standardising leadership responsibilities.
