For all members of SLMS, appraisal occurs on an annual basis.
As a UCL member of staff it is not only your right to request an appraisal but also your benefit in aiding your development and career.
The documents are available from the UCL HR Website. Most departments provide a guidance note when circulating Part A of the appraisal document encouraging staff to discuss within their meetings matters relating to promotion and career development as appropriate.
An appraisal checklist is now being used across the Faculty to help both the appraiser and the appraisee to make sure that all important areas are covered during the appraisal.t
For academic and teaching staff Enterprise and Enabling activities should be an important part of the discussion around promotion.
Appraisals should be recorded formally online.
