Preparing for maternity at work
This workshop is part of the Maternity Coaching Series and is for expectant staff members who are planning on taking maternity leave during the next few months. It is a chance to meet a small group of people who are all experiencing the same ups and downs of being pregnant at work. This informal, relaxed workshop will give you confidence through a period of change, access to a supportive network and practical ways to maintain momentum throughout your pregnancy at work. It will also help you start to think about and plan for the longer-term impact that having a family will have on your working life. A representative from the UCL Policy team will also be present to provide a brief overview of UCL maternity leave provision and to answer any individual queries.
Returning from maternity leave
Returning to work from maternity leave is a huge step and many women may experience different issues such as anxiety about going to work, time management, pressure to catch up, build confidence, etc. This workshop is designed to explore personal strategies for achieving work-life balance, boost confidence during your return, to look at ways of regaining control over your career and to develop a good work/life balance. A representative from the UCL Policy team will also be present to provide a brief overview of UCL maternity leave provision and to answer any individual queries.
