After suspending its services over the summer due to Covid-19, the Overseas Visitors Records Office (OVRO) has now re-opened its online appointment booking system and is providing police registration services from Wednesday October 7 2020.

Walk-ins are no longer permitted. As the first step to complete your police registration, you must book an appointment through OVRO's online booking facility within 7 days of arrival in the UK, within 7 days of 30/09/2020 if you are already in the UK or within 7 days of a change in circumstance. This will ensure that you satisfy the 7 day legal requirement to register with the police.

When booking your appointment, please ensure you consider any UK Government quarantine restrictions that may apply to you. If you become ill with Covid-19 symptoms after booking your appointment, please make sure you reschedule or cancel your appointment. When you attend your appointment, please bring the correct documentation to avoid disappointment of having to book a new appointment.

For more information about relevant documents and other regulations related to Covid-19 at OVRO, please visit UCL’s website to see the Police Registration page.
