Your UCL ID card gives you full access to buildings across our campuses and enables you to borrow books from UCL libraries.
Once you have received email confirmation with the subject line Confirmation of enrolment to UCL you will be able to collect your ID card.
How and where to collect your ID card
You can collect your ID card from Bloomsbury or UCL East. Remember to bring with you:
- Confirmation of enrolment email
- Valid ID document e.g. passport, UK driving license, EU identity card or BRP
Bloomsbury Campus
ID cards are issued by appointment in the Andrew Huxley building (close to Gordon Street entrance)
Opening hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 – 17:45.
UCL East Campus
Collect your ID Card from the Marshgate reception
Opening hours: Monday - Sunday, 24 hours a day
This is a walk-in service. You do not need to book a collection slot.

If you have an invisible disability, UCL supports the Sunflower Lanyard scheme. It is a way to show you have an invisible disability and may require additional assistance. Wearing a Sunflower Lanyard is optional.
You can collect a Sunflower Lanyard from various UCL libraries.
If you need a lanyard before coming to campus, you can request one to be posted to you via askUCL. Remember, you need to have a UCL username and password to use askUCL.
