UCL rooms can only be booked by UCL staff, Student Union presidents and union sabbatical officers through the intranet via a UCL internet connection or remotely via Desktop@UCL Anywhere.
CMIS Go room bookings is now open for 2025-26
CMIS Go room bookings is now open for 2025-26, with partial availability of centrally bookable spaces. Some spaces have limited availability or remain unavailable for booking whilst we continue to work with colleagues in departments on changes to teaching activities following admissions and clearing updates.
We will open more spaces for booking as we progress into the academic cycle, following resolution of the majority of unroomed/amended teaching events.
Centrally bookable spaces are currently available to book as follows:
- Size 25 capacity and under - Rooms can be booked (subject to availability) up until the start of Term 2.
- Size 26-186 capacity - Rooms can be booked (subject to availability) up to 35 days before the event.
- Size 187+ and large flat floor spaces (100+ capacity) - Currently unavailable to book due to overdemand during the teaching period.
Departmentally bookable spaces do not have these restrictions, and remain available to users within your departments with the relevant permissions. We request that any events booked into departmentally bookable spaces are split into separate bookings if extending across more than one term, to support reporting.
Detailed room booking guidance for staff, and Student Union officers is available on the UCL intranet task library. There is a diverse range of services, that you may use while organising an event, lecture, or seminar. This includes booking an external speaker, arranging catering, and booking porters to arrange the space.
CMISGo unavailable
The Room Booking System (CMISGo) will be unavailable due to maintenance purposes between 8am and 2pm on Wednesday 5 November 2025.
