Our final concert of this term sees a mixture of works from the 18th century (a Bach aria and Beethoven’s first published work, a vivacious piano trio), via the 19th century (romantic songs by Liszt and Clara Schumann) to the early 20th century (Elgar’s beautiful violin sonata), all performed by a mixture of the club’s instrumentalists and vocalists.

Tuesday 2 May - 5.30pm-6.30pm

For our first concert in Term 3 we present a programme of contrasting piano music by the 18th-century Austrian composer Joseph Haydn and the late 19th-century American composer Amy Beach, as well as a chance to hear Borodin’s lovely but rarely-performed piano quintet.

Wednesday 17 May - 5.30pm-6.30pm

We are using the CMC harpsichord  for an opening lament on the death of one monarch – which leads on to more celebratory work.  A further harpsichord solo and a Monteverdi vocal duet.   Followed by later keyboard works  on the piano by Beethoven and Chopin.
