UCL's online and self-paced course to help you understand Academic Integrity
'Understanding Academic Integrity' is UCL's online and self-paced course is designed to help students to develop good academic practice for completing assessments. You will develop your understanding of when poor practice becomes Academic Misconduct, what the consequences can be of Plagiarism and other forms of Academic Misconduct, including up-to-date information about Collusion and Contract Cheating, and will receive some useful ideas for working with sources to help you present your own arguments.
This course will demonstrate the importance of Academic Integrity, and give you some tools for developing it in your own work. It is crucial to always be mindful of these issues while completing work in an academic context.
To enrol in the course please follow these instructions:
- Go to extend.ucl.ac.uk and click on UCL Login;
- Log in with their UCL credentials;
- Once logged in, navigate to https://extend.ucl.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=879
- Type Understanding_Academic_Integrity when asked for an enrolment key at the bottom of the page
Your department or faculty may wish to see a certificate of completion. You will be able to download this once all sections of the course are marked as complete.
