UCL's online and self-paced course to help you understand Academic Integrity
'Understanding Academic Integrity course for students' is UCL's online and self-paced course is designed to help students to develop good academic practice for completing assessments.
You will develop your understanding of:
- when poor practice becomes Academic Misconduct
- what the consequences can be of Plagiarism and other forms of Academic Misconduct
- up-to-date information about Collusion and Contract Cheating
- information about the use of Generative AI in your assessments
- useful ideas for working with sources to help you present your own arguments.
This course will demonstrate the importance of Academic Integrity, and give you some tools for developing it in your own work. It is crucial to always be mindful of these issues while completing work in an academic context.

You can self-enrol and there is no enrolment key.
Your department or faculty may wish to see a certificate of completion. You will be able to download this once all sections of the course are marked as complete.
