‘Your Guide to Thrive’ organised by Student Support and Wellbeing is a fun-packed week in Term 1 (Monday 20th - Friday 24th November 2023) designed to help you develop good self-care practices at UCL. Our talks, walks and workshops will nurture your financial and academic skills, as well as your physical and mental health. Be sure to book your spot at these events and activities!

Staying Safe in London

To thrive at UCL, we know that you need to be safe and, just as importantly, to feel safe. The Crime Prevention and Personal Safety Office have put this session together to cover the main topics of personal safety on campus and in London.

This session will ensure you can flourish at UCL without any concerns about your safety or the safety of your things. We will provide simple advice to stay safe so that you can concentrate on the important things, such as your studies and having a fantastic time at UCL!

In this interactive session, we will cover:

  • How to keep your valuables safe and secure (it’s hard to thrive without your laptop!)
  • Confidence building around nights out
  • Cultivating and maintaining healthy, respectful relationships
  • How to access advice and support about any crime or personal safety matters

If you're unable to make this date, the same session will be repeated on Tuesday 21st November 2023, 10.30am-11.30am (Haldane Room, Wilkins Main Building).

Find out what else is happening during Student Support and Wellbeing's 'Your Guide to Thrive' week here. Our wide range of Events and Activities throughout the academic year help you maintain your physical, emotional and mental health. Student Support and Wellbeing strive to give all UCL students the chance to try something new, make friends and develop wellbeing skills for university and beyond. We hope to see you at one of our events soon!

Build your SSW

Student Support and Wellbeing curate termly campaigns to support the three core aspects of your own SSW: Social bonding, Skills for life and Wellbeing at university. Each activity aims to develop one, two, or all three of these aspects.
