This page is intended to provide information about the future of the Erasmus+ programme and the UKs participation
The Erasmus+ programme runs in seven year cycles in line with the EU's multiannual financial framework. The UK participated in the current Erasmus+ 2014-2020 cycle as a member of the EU.
Since the UK left the EU on January 31st 2020 with a withdrawal agreement, it retained full rights of access to the current cycle. The withdrawal agreement also secures funding already approved before the end of the Transition period, that will continue even after the Transition period has ended.
The UKs participation in the next Erasmus 2020-2027 programme is not confirmed, as this remains part of wider UK-EU negotiations. UCL expresses its commitment to the Erasmus programme and student mobility and will continue to encourage continued access to the programme.
Funding approved under the 2014/2020 programme can continue into the next successor programme.
