Bruker Avance Neo 700

Check the queue on the 700 MHz instrument and submit experiments remotely  (User ID: supervisor's initials)

Avance Neo 700 is equipped with a 5mm helium-cooled broadband cryoprobe optimised for X-nuclei in the range 15N (71.0 MHz) - 31P (283.5 MHz), excluding 153Eu, 137Ba, 175Lu, 181Ta, 123Sb, 133Cs, 138La, 6Li, 209Bi, 75As, 171Yb and 199Hg. The second channel tunes to 1H and 19F.

The sensitivity specifications are:

1H sensitivity 4238 : 1, noise [200 Hz], 0.1% Ethylbenzene in CDCl3;
13C sensitivity 2283 : 1, noise [40 ppm], ASTM, 40% dioxane, 60% C6D6;
15N sensitivity 222 : 1, noise [2 ppm], 90% formamide in DMSO-d6;
31P sensitivity 1166 : 1, noise [5 ppm], 0.0485 M Triphenyl Phosphate (TPP) in acetone-d6;
19F sensitivity 4985 : 1, noise [1 ppm], 0.05% Trifluorotoluene (TFT) in CDCl3.

There is also a room-temperature broadband probe, with the following sensitivity specifications:

1H sensitivity 1021 : 1, noise [200 Hz], 0.1% Ethylbenzene in CDCl3;
13C sensitivity 510 : 1, noise [40 ppm], ASTM, 40% dioxane, 60% C6D6;
15N sensitivity 75 : 1, noise [2 ppm], 90% formamide in DMSO-d6;
31P sensitivity 299 : 1, noise [5 ppm], 0.0485 M Triphenyl Phosphate (TPP) in acetone-d6;

There is a 60-position sample changer, SampleXpress, and the instrument is operated under automation most of the time.

This instrument was funded by EPSRC, UCL and Simons Foundation and is open for use by UK researchers from academia and industry.
