Study and Research
New cutting edge courses, first of their kind
All courses at UCL East are either cross-disciplinary or interdisciplinary, designed by academics from different departments, together with industry, partners and practitioners. Many of these courses are set to be among the first of their kind in the world giving our students a unique learning experience.
New schools and centres for collaboration
UCL East is bringing together eight UCL faculties to deliver well over 50 new postgraduate and undergraduate degree programmes. Innovation and collaboration are designed in, with students and staff working in shared environments and learning by doing, whatever their individual specialism.
A unique location in the heart of east London
Situated in Stratford and on the River Lea, our new campus is based across two buildings initially, One Pool Street (opened in 2022) and Marshgate (opened 2023). Built alongside world leading sport, business, innovation, culture and leisure facilities, UCL East offers students opportunities to work with local organisations, employers, partners, schools and charities on challenges facing local communities that have the potential to impact cities around the world.
