Aims of the UCL East London Scholarship scheme

UCL is consistently ranked as one of the top ten universities in the world attracting research investment and applications from students from across London, the UK and the globe. It is also the winner of The Times and The Sunday Times University of the Year 2024.

UCL’s new campus in Stratford brings together diverse disciplines to collaborate with communities, businesses and organisations in east London to tackle the biggest challenges facing people and the planet, themes that shape our UCL Grand Challenges research strategy

The UCL East London Scholarship scheme is one of a range of initiatives helping to ensure that our research and teaching is embedded in and relevant to the communities we serve, with activity starting locally to impact globally.

The UCL community is determined to be relevant and accessible in a fast-growing, richly diverse and exciting part of our capital city, which is home to our new UCL East campus and our existing UCL School of Management. The UCL East London Scholarship is one of a range of opportunities we are providing in collaboration with and exclusively for east Londoners, from our developing UCL East schools programme through to our research and community collaborations supporting innovation, enterprise, the creative industries, learning and skills development.

We are grateful to all our partners and to our UCL community at large for helping us to spread the word about this opportunity. Together we will ensure that our new UCL East London Scholarship helps to create London’s next generation of brave, disruptive thinkers.
