Professional Development

Whatever your role, whatever your career stage or development requirements UCL Arena Centre offers a range of professional development opportunities and support.

The Arena Programme is for all staff who teach and support students' learning, aimed at improving the quality of teaching across the institution, and sharing and recognising best practice.

This includes:

  • Mandatory courses for PGTAs, new lecturers and supervisors
  • Optional courses and workshops for all staff, with some targeted at specific roles, such as personal tutors, professional services colleagues, postdocs and education leaders
  • A wide range of online courses and resources designed at supporting all areas of educational practice.

The Arena Centre's workshops, courses and resources all support staff who wish to be professionally recognised for their educational practice through our Advance HE-accredited Arena Fellowship scheme.
