A sample of summer schools in Latin America. Students apply directly the host institution, then can apply for short-term mobility funding to support their studies.

 

Tecnologico de Monterrey Summer School

There are a range of summer programmes available at Tecnologico de Monterrey (Tec), including their unique iSummerMX programme that takes students on a five-week long tour across different campuses and cities. Each campus organises their own special activities with field trips, company visits and networking events, encompassing truly experiential learning.

Dates: 24 June - 26 July 2024

El Colegio de México International Summer Program (ISP)

Students can take up to four academic courses focused on the study of Mexican and Latin American realities led by El Colegio de México’s faculty. As part of the ISP, students will also study Spanish as Foreign Language and engage in extracurricular cultural activities. The ISP 2022, Hybrid Edition is delivered mainly in English - with one course taught in Spanish.

Dates: 23 June - 28 July 2023

Universidad del Pacifico Peru Entrepreneurship and Innovation Summer Course

A week-long course to explore entrepreneurship and innovation, and whey are so important in the Peruvian Entrepreneurial Ecosystem.

Universidad Torcuato Di Tella Argentine (UTDT) Culture and Language Course

This four-week-course focuses on developing fluency through communicative and cultural activities. It includes the presentation of vocabulary and syntax of the Río de la Plata region; cultural, historical, and practical information about Buenos Aires and other regions; analysis of major events; introduction to Argentine music, cooking and cinema.

Dates: 8 July - 1 August 2024

Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro - PUC-Rio Brazilian Seminars

Students deepen their knowledge about Brazil through interdisciplinary program giving a broad perspective of Brazilian issues within the global context.

Universidad San Francisco de Quito Summer School

The USFQ Summer Schools offer several hands-on learning opportunities that can include exploring the Ecuadorian coast for ancient civilisations (Archaeology Field School) to creating products and services through USFQ’s prototyping laboratory, USFQ D-LAB (Media & Design School). Language courses, service learning, community outreach opportunities and professional internships are also options that students can take.

San Andrés LATAM Graduate Business Program and Intensive Spanish Program (ISP) 

San Andrés LATAM Graduate Business Program is for Graudate Businesss students looking to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to navigate the Latin American markets successfully. It covers courses covering Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Real Estate, Digital Business, Sustainability, and Innovation.

Intensive Spanish Program (ISP) is for any student with intermediate Spanish (minimum of three semesters of college-level Spanish or the equivalent), looking to improve their language skills. Students can opt to participate in the Intensive Spanish Programe immediately following the Graduate Business Program.
