About UCL's Cities partnerships Programme for students
Run by the Global Engagement Office, this UCL-wide programme supports, funds and promotes collaborations and exchanges with prestigious institutions in major cities across the world. The programme started in Rome last year and in 2020, Paris has been selected as a destination. For students, the programme is an exciting opportunity to learn about the French language and culture and have an amazing summer at one of UCL’s partner universities.
Bursary
This year, successful applicants will be awarded a bursary towards tuition fee costs for one session at the Sciences Po Summer School plus £250 towards expenses.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the programme you must be:
- a non-finalist undergraduate student (final year students are not eligible for this programme)
- you should be available for the entire duration of the programme
- we also welcome applications from students from the following backgrounds
-From a family with a combined annual parental income of under £25,000
-The first person in your family to go to university
-A care leaver
Please note that this is a selective process as limited funding is available.
Programme
Founded in 1872, Sciences Po is France’s leading university for the social sciences. The Summer School’s University Programme is a unique opportunity for university students from all over the world to discover Sciences Po over the course of a summer on their Paris campus. In 2019, the programme hosted almost 450 students, representing 60 different nationalities and a diverse range of academic and professional backgrounds
Dates
The programme is held in two separate sessions during the months of June and July. In 2020, the programme dates are:
- June session: 2 - 25 June 2020
- July session: 29 June - 24 July 2020
