Study Here
The Department of Science and Technology Studies offers qualifications for undergraduates, Masters, and Doctoral studies, with a focus on cross-cutting and interdisciplinary skills. Our combination of options is unique in the UK.
We deliver academic programmes that combine excellence in teaching with student-centred, research-led learning. We develop solid knowledge of fundamentals while also encouraging analysis, reflection and curiosity. We are praised by our external examiners for innovation in teaching and for producing students who deliver outstanding work, year-after-year. We achieve consistently high scores in the UK's National Student Survey (NSS).
STS undergraduate programmes lead to BSc or BA qualifications. We also contribute streams in UCL-wide degrees.
STS postgraduate taught programmes lead to MSc, PG(Dip), and PG(Cert) qualifications.
STS Doctoral programmes lead to MPhil-PhD qualifications.
