Site Visits

The Quality Assurance and Enhancement Unit has a comprehensive, multi-faceted approach to the quality assurance of the clinical placements undertaken by students in Years' 4-6 of the MBBS programme

This includes

• Reviewing the results of the Medical Education Providers Annual Return (MEPAR). This is an online self-evaluative statement completed by each Trust/site that provides clinical placements to UCLMS students.

• Organising visits to the clinical placement provider

Following each visit, the QAEU drafts a report and liaises with the relevant Trust to finalise the details of both. Progress on the action plan is monitored through the Medical Education Providers' Annual Report, which is submitted to the QAEU.
