Research, partnerships and projects

Professor Will Mandy (UCL Clinical, Education and Health Psychology) used Global Engagement Funds to secure a collaboration with the University of Toronto that could help improve the diagnosis of women and girls with autism.

Professor Julienne Stroeve, within the NERC Centre for Polar Observation and Modelling in UCL Earth Sciences, has been mapping the Arctic in partnership with a variety of agencies in the United States who use the seas.

Global Engagement Funds facilitated a collaboration between UCL and John Hopkins University, USA, to bring together two areas of stroke rehabilitation research.

UCL academics are working with many North American partners to address global challenges. Highlights in the region include the Yale-UCL Collaborative, a multi-disciplinary, research, education and clinical collaboration between Yale University and UCL, which celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2019.
UCL has also established a strategic global partnership with the University of Toronto, based on research and education activities spanning across our 11 Faculties, including the areas of child health, future cities, transnational education policy and cultural heritage.
