Working with artists


Trellis: knowledge exchange artists and communities

Trellis is a programme that bring together artists, UCL researchers and east London communities to collaborate, create new knowledge, ideas and the potential for change or action. WE will be accepting expressions of interest in Term 1 of 2023/24.

Venice Biennale Fellowship Programme

We have an opportunity for a UCL PhD student to attend the Venice Biennale in April 2024. The Fellowship programme is a paid opportunity (intended to cover costs) and will be supplemented with training, mentoring, and the opportunity to grow career skills in cultural awareness, collaboration and project management.

Funding

Community Engagement Seed Fund

The UCL East Community Engagement Seed Fund is a small grants funding round for UCL staff and post graduate research students. It is designed to support the development of engagement activities and partnership opportunities with east London communities. We expect to fund six grants of up to £4,000. Deadline for applications 27 October 2023

Community Engagement Development Funding

This is a small grants funding scheme for UCL staff and post graduate research students who have previously received funding for engagement projects in east London. It is designed to build capacity for previously funded projects to deepen the impact of ongoing engagement practice. We expect to fund grants of between £2,000 - £4,000.

We are in the process of setting up termly networking events with east London Voluntary and Community Sector organisations.

Skills development for community engagement

We are in the process of setting up workshops for UCL staff and students around skills and knowledge for community engagement.

Engagement and Impact Training

Delivered in partnership with the UCL Engagement Team

This live, online training will introduce you to the basics of engagement, and also cover things like getting funding, making your practice inclusive, and evaluation.
