Free Barre Sessions

SSW have teamed up with SU Project Active so you can take a break from revision and join a FREE Barre session every Tuesday throughout March. The sessions will run between 1pm-2pm in Rehearsal Room (1st Floor, Bloomsbury Theatre Building).

About the sessions

Barre fitness is a hybrid workout class combining ballet-inspired moves with elements of pilates, yoga, strength training and restorative yoga. The class incorporates a ballet barre and floor work to improve posture, flexibility and strength. No previous ballet, barre, yoga/pilates experience needed. This class is beginner friendly and open to all fitness levels.

The benefits of joining

As well as a fantastic workout, joining one of these Barre sessions will help you block distractions and focus on the mind-body connection. By taking some time out to stay active during the exam season, you will get a natural energy boost, and you will reduce any feelings of stress and mental fatigue,
