International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Friday 1st December 2023

International Day of Persons with Disabilities promotes global disability rights, issues and dignity. Observed by the United Nations since 1992, this day raises awareness of the social, economic and cultural aspects of the lives of persons with disabilities.

To celebrate International Day of Persons with Disability, we are hosting an online conference with presentations led by the UCL Eugenics Legacy Education Project (ELEP), the Equity and Inclusion Sabbatical Officer from Student's Union UCL and the Global Disability Innovation (GDI) Hub.

This event will have a BSL interpreter, as well as live captioning overlays. A subtitled version of the recording will be made available soon after the event has taken place. If you have any concerns or accessibility requirements, please email us at ssw-comms@ucl.ac.uk
