Studying can be a tough job and often the lion share of our time goes into selecting your study space. But, if you are studying in and around UCL, don’t worry, as you’ve got a plethora of options! Make sure to check the place you are headed to is open and any restrictions it might have, for example booking study spaces.

First port-of-call, the science library. This is a beautiful place equipped with study spaces ideal for both individual and group study.

If you are thinking about the main library my dear reader, you’ll be ecstatic. There are a lots of study spaces scattered in different sections, some even providing computers.

The libraries can become busy hotspots over exam season. During this time, you might want to try out the Student Centre. Get there early, and you might just find your perfect spot.

So many options, right! Well, don't forget the cruciform building as well - plenty of spaces there too.

You should even check out the IOE once in a while, it’s the number one place for education. The place has got a great ambiance and the staff there have really helped me with any enquiries I’ve had in the past.

Not yet found a place? I've got your back! Try the University of Birkbeck or the SOAS libraries. If you fancy a little walk, you could even go to the British library for a coffee and study session.

Do bear in mind that due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, many study spaces may have introduced new social distancing rules to make sure users stay safe. This might mean longer waiting times to access study spaces, fewer people per space and different venue opening times. So if you’re hoping to use a space, check their website in advance in case you need to book ahead of time.

Sometimes, a digital space to study may actually be your best option! Diigo, Zoom, Google Hangouts and Microsoft Teams are just some of the many great online spaces that make studying and connecting with others easy these days. Whatever you choose, online or offline, have a great time in your perfect study place.
