About the gong siesta sound baths
Embark on a transformative journey led by Jarvia Foxter, a seasoned registered osteopath, consultant, and coach. Perfect for a break from exams or revision, this unique experience invites you to unwind, let go of stress and find tranquillity.
Session format
Each session will consist of a 30-minute inactive, gentle meditation session, curated for the ultimate relaxation and stress relief. During this you will immerse yourself in the therapeutic embrace of healing sound vibrations. After the sound bath, Jarvia will then offer an optional 15-minute Mind-Body Health Q&A for those who wish to stay. Please note that each session is booked for an hour to allow attendees enough time to arrive and settle first.
What to bring
- Please note that the JBR room doesn't have curtains so may be bright. To make the most of the experience, we encourage you to bring an eye mask or something to place over your eyes. Eye masks will be provided to anyone who doesn't have one on the day.
- Yoga mats will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you'd prefer.

The benefits of a gong bath
1. Stress Reduction and Relaxation: Gong baths are known for their ability to induce a deep state of relaxation. The resonating tones of the gong create a soothing atmosphere, helping to alleviate stress and tension. Participants often report a sense of calm and tranquillity, making gong baths an effective tool for relaxation.
2. Mental Clarity and Mindfulness: The immersive sound experience of a gong bath can facilitate a meditative state, promoting mental clarity and mindfulness. As the mind focuses on the rich and diverse tones of the gong, it becomes easier to let go of distracting thoughts, fostering a sense of presence and awareness in the moment.
3. Energy Balancing and Vibrational Healing: The vibrational frequencies produced by the gong are believed to have a harmonizing effect on the body's energy systems. Advocates of gong baths suggest that the sound vibrations can help balance the subtle energy centers (chakras) and promote overall energetic alignment. This holistic approach to vibrational healing contributes to a sense of well-being and balance.
