Combat feelings of anxiety, stress and regain focus by trying out some guided and silent meditation. We’ll be holding some free sessions on campus for you to attend!
Mondays and Wednesdays, 9am to 10am and 9.30am to 10am.
Meditation sessions will be held on campus in the Meditation Room, Student Centre.
No registration is needed, just simply turn up on the day. You're welcome to stay for one session (30 minutes) or two sessions (1 hour).
During the sessions the meditation lead will guide you through a body scan, from head to toe, allowing you to take note of your emotions, sensations of your body and breath. This will be followed by silent meditation to help you find inner peace, be fully present in the moment and enhance your self-awareness.
By the end of the session, you should experience a sense of calmness that you can take with you throughout your day.
There are many benefits to meditation such as:
- reducing stress.
- controlling anxiety.
- promoting emotional health.
- increasing strength and endurance of attention.
- improving sleep.
- decreasing blood pressure.
