Real Time Chat

New support route for students.

We are launching a pilot of a real-time chat service within askUCL. We have two teams who will be using this to provide support to students. Find out more about the topics you chat with us about:

    From 17th August, the Student Enquiries Centre team will be piloting a chat service to support students who have a question about their enrolment or pre-enrolment and need a quick answer. This is a new service, so we will be limiting the number of students we can speak to at one time. 
    We'll be available to chat with you from:

    • 9 am -11 am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
    • 3 pm - 5 pm on Tuesday and Thursday. 

    During these times students will be able to chat with a member of our team about:

    • Enrolment
    • Pre-enrolment

     The Student Visa Advice Team are piloting a new real-time chat service. During the service opening times students will be able to chat with a member of the team on the following topics:

    • Visa advice
    • Visa and passport updates
    • Visa options after your studies
    • Brexit updates

    This is a new service, so the team will be limiting the number of students they can speak to at any one time. Their chat service hours will be:

    • Tuesday 10am - 1pm

    To chat to the Teams during their service hours please log into askUCL and select the ‘Ask a Question’ option. Select one of the categories above and, if a member of the team is free, a chat box will appear!
