Ukrainian Level 4 Advanced

Course description: Level 4 is for those who have successfully completed Ukrainian Upper Intermediate or a similar course and are familiar with main grammar structures: declension of nouns and adjectives (both singular and plural) in all cases, imperfective and perfective aspects of verbs, reflexive verbs, verbs of motion, present, past and future tenses. Please note that this course does not require impeccable or extensive knowledge of these structures but students should be familiar with all of them. The course runs over three ten-week terms and each session is two hours long. The course includes all four skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. Linguistic and cultural knowledge is reinforced and broaden by authentic materials, texts and videos. On completion of the course, students can converse reasonably fluently with native speakers and retrieve information from a wide range of authentic materials. The course will cover the following:

•    declension of nouns, adjectives and pronouns
•    usage of prepositions with various cases
•    endings of masculine gender nouns in Genitive singular
