Reduced Dispatch Timeframes

The Student Records team is pleased to announce that degree certificates and transcripts have been dispatched for students who received their results on the 6^th July. There was a 6 week turnaround from the point of conferral to dispatch, which marks a significant improvement on the timeframe.

The degree certificates and transcripts for students who received their results from the second results day on the 27^th July up to the 11^th August are due to be dispatched by mid-September.

Our current advertised turnaround for degree document dispatch is 3 months, to allow for delays in the production of the data and the printing process, however, improvements in the address confirmation process, transcript generation and certificate data have allowed us to shorten the timeframes considerably.

Self-service documentation

Students were also able to access a self-service e-transcript for the first time this summer within a day of their results being released, as well as a self-service statement of award.

Students affected by the marking and assessment boycott who had their awards withheld were also able to access a self-service e-transcript and Statement of Student status.

Late changes to marks

Where departments have confirmed changes to marks due to errors or late ECs, replacement transcripts will be dispatched if these changes were not processed prior to the degree documentation data being run. If students receive an incorrect mark on their documents they should log a query on askUCL.

MX marks

If MX marks become available following the production of degree documentation, replacement copies will be produced once the new results have been released to the students. If the mark change does not affect a student’s qualification or classification, only the transcript will be reissued. If the student receives a higher classification or change to qualification due to an available mark, the degree certificate will also be reissued.
