From Small Library Beginnings: a brief history of UCL Library Services

  • UCL Main Library, Wilkins Building
  • 4 March – 13 December 2019 | Mon-Fri 9.30am-5pm | Free entry
  • Open to all. Enquire at Library Membership Desk for entry.

UCL’s first library was the single-roomed Small Library. Established in the 1820’s, it soon had to deal with a lack funds and staffing. But as the university grew, so did UCL Library Services, and today we are a modern, multi-site department with over 300 staff and millions of print and digital resources. In this exhibition you will discover some of the spaces, collections and people that tell our history.
