Slade 150: Testing Ground
Testing Ground celebrates all the artists who have contributed to the Slade School of Fine Art over its 150-year history. Through the medium of printmaking, the exhibition unites ideas of ideas of learning, teaching, process and experimentation. It invites the visitor to contemplate how the Slade’s unfolding collective narrative is made up of multiple individual stories.
Slade 150: Past, Present, Future
Objects from UCL’s art and ethnography collections feature in this artist-led exhibition. Slade students from BA and PhD programmes reflect on how their art school’s past and its present could inform its future. Hailing from across varied artistic disciplines they explore ideas of tradition and heritage and ask how new generations can challenge and disrupt these.
Word as Art: Beauty in the Margins
Inspired by the Slade 150 anniversary, this online exhibition explores the permeable borders between art and writing. It includes three pieces of student art alongside items from UCL Special Collections.
