Supporting you in Term 3

20 April 2021

UCL Library Services continues to support you wherever you are studying in the world by providing a wide range of online resources and services.

We have introduced a range of new services, online and on-site, to enhance your experience whilst ensuring your safety and that of our staff. We look forward to welcoming you to our library buildings and study spaces, which we are reopening in the run-up to Term 3 for the exam revision period.

On-campus services

Most of our libraries will re-open in the week before the start of Term 3. Opening hours will be adapted due to current circumstances, with 24/7 opening in the Student Centre only. Most of our larger libraries will be open at evenings and weekends. You will still need to book study spaces. Please remember to plan ahead and book your study spaces in advance to avoid disappointment.

You can request books through the Click and Collect service.

Keeping Safe on Campus

Library staff on site are here to help and ensure you remain safe. It is important that we work together to keep each other safe and to avoid the spread of the virus. Although the NHS’ vaccination program is proceeding at a good rate, we must continue to follow safety guidance. If you can, you must wear a face covering on campus and follow one way systems. If you plan to visit a library site, please make sure you read and follow UCL’s safety guidance.

Online resources

At UCL you have access to a vast digital library. We provide a wide range of online resources for all students and staff to access 24/7. You can also access essential reading for your module through ReadingLists@UCL or request digitised chapters of our print books through the Library’s Scan and Send service.

If you have any questions or need more support with using online resources, you can contact Library staff through the online Library chat service or access online Library Skills training.

We also provide lots of support for dissertations and final projects.
