Use a public BT Wi-Fi network for free without a BT account.
ISD runs a service for UCL staff and students to use the BT public Wi-Fi network without a BT account.
Following the return to campus for both staff and students, UCL intends to withdraw the BT WiFi service from 27 February 2023.
If you are struggling with a poor connection and there is a BT Wi-Fi access point where you are, you can now connect to it using your UCL username and password and VPN (virtual private network) client. As well as BT Openzone, access to public BT Wi-Fi is widespread in the UK and may offer a solution if your current connection is unstable.
