Issues at Work and Key contacts for LGBTQ+ staff

Information on support if you are having issues related to your sexual orientation at work

There are a number of people who you can contact if you are having issues related to your sexual orientation at work, which may include homophobic, biphobic or transphobic bullying and harassment.

UCL has a team of Dignity Advisors available to listen to members of UCL staff who believe that they are being harassed; they can help to clarify options available and support and assist you through resolving the matter. All cases will be treated in confidence. Contact details for the advisors can be found here.

UCL provides a free and confidential Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) from Care First, an independent provider of employee support services. Their staff are specialists in fields such as counselling, well-being, family matters, relationships, debt management, workplace issues, and much more.

The Human Resources Advisory Services Team provides professional advice and guidance to managers and staff on non-routine employment related issues.
Find your departmental contact here.

Each department also has a Inclusion Lead whom you can speak to for further advice. Please see the Inclusion Leads Contact List page to find your departmental Inclusion Lead.

You can also contact any member of the LGBTQ+ Equality Steering Group or the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team for confidential support and advice.
