Helen O'Neill

Dr Helen O’Neill is a Lecturer and molecular geneticist at University College London (UCL) at the Institute for Women’s Health in UCL. She is currently on 3 year secondment funded by a UKRI Innovation Scholars Grant: The Use of A Combined Clinical Symptom and Biomarker-Based Model to Predict Risk of Developing Reproductive Conditions and Fertility Potential.

She has a Masters in Prenatal Genetics and Fetal Medicine and a PhD in Stem Cell Biology from UCL. 

Helen also works on the morphokinetics of preimplantation embryos and is using CRISPR genome editing to assess the treatment and understanding of sex chromosome disorders and neuromuscular disorders. 

Helen was previously the Programme Director for Reproductive Science and Women’s Health at UCL. She continues to lecture both UCL masters and medical students.
