Clare Melhuish, Director of the UCL Urban Laboratory, will present the Lab's research in the field of university urbanism, with a particular focus on its collaborations with universities abroad (Gothenburg, Roma Tre, and UNIFESP, São Paulo).

UCL Urban Laboratory is a cross-faculty centre for urban research, dissemination and engagement.

Clare Melhuish will explore models for evaluating university-city relationships, and describe Urban Lab’s academic involvement in the development of UCL East.

Clare is an architectural historian and urban anthropologist specialising in research on the processes and impacts of transformative ‘urban imaginaries’ and large-scale urban interventions.
