  • raise awareness and understanding of issues that can lead to suicidal thoughts or self-harm
  • explore 'warning signs' of suicide and depression
  • share best practice on approaching individuals who may suffer from depression and suicidal thoughts

After this session you will

  • understand the facts and myths around depression, suicide and self-harm
  • know the best practice approach to disclosures of depression, suicide and self-harm
  • know where to refer students and what pathways are available to students

Who should attend

You should attend if you are a member of UCL staff who has any contact with students.

Personal Tutors will find this session particularly useful.
