Student Support and Wellbeing are delivering this session, which is open to all staff at UCL involved in supporting students.
Students may face many potential stressors when they join university. This session will equip you with confidence in recognising potential stressors and how to effectively respond to a student who is experiencing a crisis.
This workshop will:
- provide you with appropriate terminology used in safeguarding
- explain UCL's safeguarding policy
- explore mental ill-health, and;
- equip you with skills on how to manage crisis situations
After attending this session you will
- learn how stressors can impact on a student
- understand how to identify stressors
- be confident in supporting students transition into university
Who should attend
You should attend if you are a member of UCL staff who has any contact with students.
