Professor Anthony Smith
Vice-Provost (Education & Student Affairs)
Professor Anthony Smith is responsible for the education agenda at UCL and providing leadership at institutional level. Prior to his appointment at UCL on 1 January 2012, Professor Smith was Principal and Dean of the School of Pharmacy, University of London.

Dr Clare Goudy
Director of Education Planning
Clare leads the Vice-Provost (Education & Student Affairs) team and works closely with the Vice-Provost on strategic planning for UCL’s education agenda. She is responsible for the Education Strategy and for UCL’s education partnerships. Clare worked in the education charity sector and for the Department for Education and Skills before joining UCL in 2005.
Dr Ruth Siddall
Ruth is UCL’s Student Mediator and is responsible for advising and assisting UCL students with the resolution of complaints, involving staff or other students or services of UCL which the student has been unable to resolve through informal means. Her role is to seek to achieve a resolution between the parties in dispute. She has been working in student support at UCL for over 15 years.

Senior Programme Manager (Education)
Kurtis is responsible for the implementation and governance of UCL’s education strategy, measuring the progress and performance of a wide range of initiatives designed to improve the teaching, learning and student experience. Kurtis also oversees the Laidlaw Scholars Programme. Prior to joining the team, Kurtis worked in policy and project teams across UCL, and in strategy development roles in both the education and corporate sectors in New Zealand.

Project Manager (Education & Estates)
Christopher works on a variety of education-related projects on behalf of the Office of the Vice-Provost (Education and Student Affairs). Recent activities include the Laidlaw Research and Leadership Programme, the Postgraduate Taught Review, the 2015 Graduate Support Scheme, and various teaching space related initiatives including reviews of electronic timetabling software and new teaching space furniture.
Head of Student Success Projects
Paulette is responsible for a range of projects related to improving outcomes for students which include the Assessment Review and a HEFCE funded partnership project aimed at addressing the BME attainment gap. Paulette oversees our strategic partnerships with schools and the expansion of UCL’s transition programme. Paulette previously worked in Access and Widening Participation at UCL and also runs a youth development initiative.

Senior Projects Manager (Academic Support)
Viki manages various projects related to academic support, primarily the UCL Introductory Programme - a programme of study and orientation for students to undertake prior to their arrival at UCL, and the Personal Tutoring project. Prior to joining UCL, Viki worked in curriculum management in the Science Faculty at the Open University.
Diary Manager and Administrative Officer
Jodi Feakes is the Diary Manager for the Vice-Provost (Education & Student Affairs), Student Mediator and Director of Education Planning as well as supporting the rest of the team with office admin duties. Jodi also worked at the IOE and UCL CAM.

Head of Communications
Katie leads the communication of UCL’s education strategy - and the distinctive and innovative teaching and learning it delivers - to staff, students and the wider higher education sector. She worked at SOAS and Royal Holloway, University of London before joining UCL.
Dr Tim Beasley-Murray
Academic Director, Global Citizenship
Tim's role is to provide academic leadership for UCL's Global Citizenship Programme and to promote the complex and challenging concept of Global Citizenship across UCL's activities. He is also Senior Lecturer in European Thought and Culture at the UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies.
Global Citizenship Programme Manager
Josh co-ordinates the UCL Global Citizenship Programme, a two-week course designed to help open to all UCL students to boost their studies, enhance their future and make an impact on the world. He is also responsible for the Global Citizenship Project Grants scheme, which is UCL’s largest student grant fund. He manages the Twitter account @UCLGlobCitProg. Having graduated from UCL in 2009, he returned in 2012 after a period working for a major national charity.
Global Citizenship Programme Administrator
Tan supports the Global Citizenship Programme to ensure effective administration throughout the year, assisting with promotion, registration and management of participants, and evaluation and planning for subsequent years. Tan is also the departmental green champion. Before joining UCL in 2017, Tan worked in sustainability at Kingston University and the University of Westminster.

Head of Student Engagement
Currently on maternity leave
Sally oversees student engagement at UCL, ensuring that there are opportunities for students to give their feedback and participate in initiatives that enhance their time at UCL. Engagement activities range from providing opportunities for feedback such as student surveys, focus groups and student representation on committees, to implementing opportunities for students to become more closely involved as partners in university projects. Sally also oversees the Global Citizenship Programme. Prior to joining the team, Sally has worked for a number of other universities including the Institute of Education, Macquarie University in Sydney and King’s College London.

Student Experience Data Manager
Rebecca is responsible for managing the various student surveys run by the department, and monitoring and analysing the results at institutional and departmental levels. This information is used to inform policy and strategy development, as well as to give us a picture of student experience as a whole at UCL. Prior to joining UCL in 2015, Rebecca worked as a data manager for a major rail operator in London.

Student Engagement Officer
Csenge is involved in the student engagement activities to support students to strengthen their partnership with UCL. Her role includes the co-ordination of various student engagement initiatives, such as student surveys, The Student Panel and running the You Shape UCL website. Csenge worked in market research before joining UCL in 2016.
