Course Description:

Please ensure you join in an environment that allows you to speak out loud and fully interact with other course participants. This practical workshop will help you if you have a tendency towards 'perfectionism' and procrastination. We draw on agile project management techniques to help you act your way into a new way of thinking about how you make rapid progress. Instead of trying to solve problems on your own in one step, these tools will help you set up small experiments, with others, to iterate your way to a better solution, building capability as you go. Shift from a fixing to a learning mindset, move from fearing feedback to craving it and help your team (and yourself) become more resilient while making progress on the problems you are trying to solve.

This session will cover:

  • How to make progress on complex tasks
  • Learn why small experiments are faster and safer
  • Understand why your perfectionism is holding you back and what you can do about it
  • Practical steps to tackle your procrastination and get things done
  • How to apply simple agile principles to your day to day work to make progress and feel good about your work
  • How to use techniques with your team to improve communication and allow everyone to innovate
