DSD: Using conditions and filters in REDCap
Course Description:

Make the most of REDCap report for your data - use of pre-set or live filters, conditions, graphics and export for further analysis.

This hands-on session is a walk-through setting up different types of reports for a dataset, and discussing their purposes. This does not cover data export: another training session will be available.

If you want to follow the session hands-on, you need an account on a REDCap project. Having an account is not compulsory for this session. You are welcome to observe the training to determine if these features are relevant to your project.

This is a one-hour workshop delivered remotely.

PREREQUISITES:

The session will proceed at pace. "DSD: Software for success: Survey tools" and "DSD: Introduction to REDCap for research" are recommended prerequisites.

IMPORTANT:

Once you have enrolled, please check that you have received a confirmation email from MyLearning. You will also receive an email with location details at least one day before the session. Any set-up information for the session will be emailed to you in advance.

Please arrive 5 minutes prior to the start of the course to allow time for logging in and downloading any resources.

Objectives:

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • control access to reports.
  • understand pre-set and live filters.
  • fine-tune data using conditions.
  • use of stats and graphical representations.
  • document report rationale.
  • test and release report.
  • understand multiple instruments and fields.
Intended Audience:

This session is aimed at staff and students to make best use of the report features in REDCap.
