DSD: Introduction to stop motion animation - workshop (campus-based)
Course Description:
Creating stop motion animations like this Kimchi recipe example are a great opportunity for team building for both staff and students and provide a creative way to share ideas and information. Learn the basics of stop motion animation and try out ways to make short 2D animations to share ideas visually.

You will have the opportunity to use the free Stop Motion Studio app on iPads provided for the session to make your own very short animation. If time allows you can also add sound and titles using the free iMovie app. Materials will be provided.

This is a 1.5 hour in person session.

IMPORTANT:

Once you have enrolled, please check that you have received a confirmation email from MyLearning. You will also receive an email with a joining link at least one day before the session.

Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes prior to the start of the course to allow time for logging in and downloading resources.

Objectives:
During the session you will:
  • Learn the basic principles of stop motion animation,
  • Learn how to use two simple animation apps,
  • Experience making and sharing a short stop motion animation.
